This is our beginner Hip Hop Class working it out once again to one of the never-ending line of hot tracks from Pitbull. The choreography is a mixture of the Hip Hop, African, and Salsa styles that drive the Miami dance scene. We had a great time making and learning this dance. It was super popular with our students and YOU all have made it one of our MOST popular videos ever!

After years of making class videos for our adults, we decided that the kids should get a chance to get in on the fun. This is the first video we ever shot of our kids classes and we chose a track that was really big at the time – “The Way I Are” by Timbaland with Keri Hilson. It’s amazing to think how far some of them have come since this time. Next time we blink some of them are gonna be ready to join FUNKMODE. That’s funkin’ CRAZY!!!

YouTube got hassled by Timbaland and his corporate homeboys and made us take the “Way I Are” song off of this video. Now you can see the kids dancing to some free tune YouTube let us use. Can anybody say “That’s WACK!!!” Yeah, it IS wack. But currently Timbo has bigger lawyers so we gotta do what we gotta do.

In the meantime, let us just say that if any of y’all want to use the choreography from any of the videos we’ve posted so far, feel free to bust it out and let your people know you found it at FUNKMODE. We all about makin paper, but we don’t get greedy with our sh*t!
